Firstly who doesn't love a good affordable makeover. 

This small entryway was super easy to and affordable to do and with some cleaver thinking I was able to solve some major problems in this space.

Here is a list of the problems I had to solve in this space.

• storage 
• it was dark 
• It felt heavy like the ceilings were lower than they are 
• cold, its a basement but wanted not to feel like one
• lack of interest and texture 
• no place for coats

Okay once we new what the problems were I started gathering some ideas I found on Pinterest. 

Then I made a mood board for the entryway on canva making sure to solve all the problems I had when in this entryway.

I went with a small antique dresser I got off market place for $40.

 I wanted something with storage so I decided against the bench, so I could have drawers with storage.

we use the antique dresser for shoes and doggy supplies, sunscreen, and mini medical bag we take to the park when we go.

I new this was a great place to add wallpaper, and I could do removable wallpaper to make it renter- friendly. 

I ended up choosing spoonflower wallpaper and I couldn't be more happy with it. honestly it was easy to do and add some much interest to the space.

I need storage for leashes, and hats, mittens so I added a basket for that stuff 

I added a coat rack for jacks, purses, and hats

I wanted a neutral rug that had texture and would hold up well in a n entryway. 

I needed lighting there is no light in the entryway and to turn the main light on in the apartment you had to Walk across. 

so I found this wireless light switch from amazon and my prayers were answered. 

I first went with a lamp, plug in and you put the wireless light switch on the wall with a command strip but I wanted something more. 

so I went with pendant light from amazon these have a plug.

I gathered some thrifted art, and books painted a tray on had so we can place our keys and sunglasses. 

And voila this space came together beautifully. 

Not only does it have interest texture and lighting, Its functional for our family.

we have storage, lighting, everything has place to keep us organized and best part its so pretty.
